About This Project

Technology developed at TU Delft also featured at the Paralympic Games in Beijing in 2008 with a revolutionary new handbike for athlete Laura de Vaan, which was lighter and more rigid than its predecessors due to the use of a composite material. In the design process a lot of attention was paid to creating an optimal fit.

The handbike has been designed in such a way that it can be adjusted to the cyclists’ individual demands and build.
