Manchester Metropolitan University is offering a fully funded PhD research opportunity in Sports Engineering.

The project ‘Finite element modelling of snowboard wrist protectors’ will explore the influence of snowboard wrist protector design parameters on the prevalence of injuries, with a particular focus on developing finite element models. The student will work alongside an international team led by the bfu (Swiss Council for Accident Prevention) and International Society for Skiing Safety.
