11 Jul Arjen Jansen, Sports Innovation TU Delft, new president ISEA
The appointment of Dr. Arjen Jansen as president, has been announced Thursday 14th of July during the International Sports Engineering Association (ISEA) annual general meeting in Delft. Dr.Arjen Jansen will be president for the duration of two years. He succeeds Dr. Heather Driscoll from the Manchester Metropolitan University.
“During the next year we will focus on changing the legal status of the ISEA and renegotiating the contract with Springer. Fortunately both Heather Driscoll and David James have prepared this well.”
The ISEA serves the global community of sports engineers by promoting the technical aspects of sports engineering and by providing a collaborative environment for the collecting and dissemination of knowledge in the field of sports engineering and technology. TU Delft is active in the ISEA by organising the bi-annual conference in Delft, from 11-14 July of this year. The conference, organised by the TU Delft Sports Engineering Institute, hosted more than 200 sports scientists.
